Seat-based pricing with FAQs

Each CitizenLab license comes with an allotted number of admin and folder/project manager seats. You can purchase additional seats if needed. Admin seats will be charged at $950 per seat and folder/project manager seats will be charged at $600 per seat, on a yearly basis.

To assign admin seats or make changes, visit the admin interface of your platform and go to the "Users" section. In that section, you’ll see how many seats you are currently using and how many you have left. If you have hit your seat limit and need to add additional colleagues as admins or folder/project managers, you can purchase more seats.

  1. Why does CitizenLab charge for additional team seats?
    As per the terms of our contracts, we have an admin seat limit on our platforms to ensure a positive, collaborative experience using our software and services. Having the right team to plan, execute, and support community engagement projects is critical to their success. We hope that in the process of choosing admin and folder/project manager seats, you can be very intentional about the roles different teammates will play in achieving the success of your community engagement platform. This also helps ensure that our GovSuccess managers know who key points of contact are and that they can remain active supporters of your projects.

  2. How much do additional admin and/or folder/project manager seats cost, and how are they invoiced?
    Additional seats are charged per seat, on a yearly basis starting from the date of the order at the following rates:

    • $950 for admin seats

    • $600 for folder/project manager seats

    When you add additional seats to your account, you will receive a same-day order confirmation email. Within 30 days of your order confirmation, you will be invoiced.

    For instance: if you add additional seats on 1 April, they will be valid until 31 March of the following year.

  3. Can I make changes to admin and/or folder/project manager assigned seats?
    Yes! You can visit the admin interface of your platform and go to the "Users" section to see how many seats you are currently using. You can remove admin rights and purchase additional seats yourself.

  4. If I have more questions, who can I contact?

    Get in touch with your GS Manager.

  5. I only need an additional admin seat for a couple of months. Can I change the period?
    We’re only able to offer annual licenses for now.

  6. What happens if my contract with CitizenLab expires before the additional seats expire? Will I get money back?
    Team seat licenses are charged annually. However, in the event that your contract with CitizenLab expires during this period, your seat purchase will be adjusted to expire at the end of your contract date and charges will be adjusted as such.
